In order to launch such a Society, the meeting set up a small committee, to prepare a draft constitution, to arrange a founding conference, to develop the membership, and to explore the establishment of a Journal of Cultural History and occasional publications series. For these purposes an email list, website, and newsletter should be started. The Provisional Committee that was set up at the general meeting met immediately afterwards. It has now co-opted additional members so as to increase the number of countries represented. 28 May 2008 |
